Photorealistic product visualization for launches, retail, and campaigns.

Overview

I led product visualization for Apple's line of devices, creating photorealistic 3D renders for launch presentations, the website, retail graphics, packaging, and global advertising.

The work had to hold together from a billboard hero to a close-up on a spec page, and it had to stay inside Apple's visual identity.

The problem

Apple needed a set of product visualizations that stayed consistent across the ecosystem and still showed what was specific about each device.

  • Keep the minimalist aesthetic while showing product detail.
  • Work from print to digital.
  • Adapt for regional campaigns.
  • Represent new materials and finishes accurately.
  • Stay production-ready on launch deadlines.

Approach

Using Maya, V-Ray, and Photoshop, I built photorealistic renders of the key product features. Each product needed custom materials, from ceramic shield glass to anodized aluminum.

The workflow used shared lighting setups, material libraries, and camera angles. That kept the family consistent and still left room to treat each device on its own terms.

“High-quality visualization is part of how people understand a product before they ever see it in person.”
