A modular illustration system for complex financial ideas.
Overview
I led the creation of an illustrated asset library for Goldman Sachs, so marketing and communications could tell visual stories across digital and social channels.
The library was modular. Teams could build consistent, on-brand visuals for social posts, campaigns, investor presentations, and educational materials without commissioning a new illustration every time.
Approach
I started with an audit of existing visual assets, then worked with the brand team on mood boards and style explorations. The aesthetic had to sit inside the brand guidelines and still be flexible enough to carry a story.
Instead of one-off drawings, I built a system: geometric forms, a limited palette of Goldman Sachs blue and gold, a consistent light source, and abstract metaphors rather than literal scenes.
- Financial growth: upward movement, steps, expanding forms.
- Security and protection: shields, enclosures, secure containers.
- Formats for social, article headers, presentation decks, and digital ads.

“A flexible illustration library let Goldman Sachs communicate complex financial ideas across their digital ecosystem while keeping a sophisticated brand identity.”
