A scalable badging system to clearly communicate product status and trust signals.
Overview
I designed a scalable badging system for the Horizon Store to clearly communicate product status and trust signals across the storefront.
The goal was to replace inconsistent, ad-hoc badges with a unified system that works across product cards, collections, and detail pages.
The problem
- Badges were visually inconsistent across surfaces.
- The overall badging system needed a refresh so services felt like one store.
What I did
I created a centralized badging system that:
- Defines clear badge logic.
- Uses shared tokens for color, type, spacing, and elevation.
- Scales across web and mobile surfaces.
- Ships as components and variants inside the design system.
- Went through creative reviews with partner teams.

“This project reinforced the importance of treating small UI elements as systems, not decorations. Clear rules and consistency made the storefront easier to scan while supporting long-term scalability.”
